Look forward to a personal, tailored experience from start to finish at Bowen Opticians
The first thing you can look forward to at Bowen Opticians is a warm welcome. It’s extremely important that you’re comfortable in your chosen optometry practice, and for that reason every member of our team will go out of their way to make sure you’re happy at all times.
When you visit us you’ll be given plenty of time to settle in before being asked a few questions about your optical and medical history. The reason we ask you about your eye and general health is to enable our optician to tailor an eye examination to meet all your needs.
“We appreciate that no two pairs of eyes are the same. Therefore, no two eye examinations should be either.”
Fiona Bromfield – Optometrist
The answers you provide will help us to adapt the eye examination to your own personal circumstances. For example, if you have a history of glaucoma in your family you may need to have the pressure in your eyes checked, just as a precaution.
No matter which series of tests you have at Bowen Opticians, you can rest assured that the examination will be comprehensive and thorough.
Once the optometrist is satisfied that no aspect of your eye health has been missed, you will have the opportunity to talk over any findings. You will then be able to discuss the different types of eyewear available with our dispensing optician who will help you find the perfect option to suit your lifestyle.
If you have any limitations in communication or physical ability we will always do our best to cater to your needs. We have a ground level examination room and quiet areas in the practice for those who are hard of hearing for example. We are always happy to write notes or reports for those who might be forgetful or confused, and can even supply easy-to-read documents to assist those with learning difficulties. Just tell us what we can do to help when booking the appointment.
